Of course when we all think about the 80s as a decade of time in American history just in general it is pretty safe to say that most people think of the 80s as a time period in which a bunch of people are just getting weird and dancing around, kind of like what we see in a lot of the best movies from the 1980s. But of course a lot of people think that the 80s was a really crappy decade for the movie industry and for the most part that assumption is true in that a lot of crappy and really sappy love stories and comedies came out of this time period, but of course there were a bunch of other great stories that came out during the 80s and some of those stories are a part of this list of the best movies from the 1980s, so let’s continue talking more about the best movies from the 1980s.

So the next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about are going to be some of the more sappy and cliché 80s movies that you probably were hoping for us to talk about earlier on in this web page, but here we are in our final installment on this page and we are going to be talking about the movie called The Princess Bride. Now I think that everyone understands that this movie is supposed to be really sappy and cliché and that is kind of the whole point of the humor in this movie, and that is kind of why so many people really liked it because it came out in 1987 during a time period when so many movies were horrible and cliché luxury love stories, and this of course took the whole idea of the cliché love story and just made fun of the whole concept of this type of thing. And although it still does remain pretty cliché and things like that because that is kind of what it is supposed to be just in general, it still is one of the best movies from the 1980s and everyone including men and women love this movie and think that it is one of the first and most cliché romantic comedies ever created, so it makes sense that it made this list of the best movies from the 1980s.

The next of the best movies from the 1980s is the Goonies and every kid who has seen the Goonies definitely understands why this movie is one of the best movies from the 1980s and it really did emerge so many young child actors during that time period and we all now know about this story and how these kids go after a hidden treasure trust of gold in the Oregon mountains, and that is just something that you can’t remake or do anything else with because it is just a classic kids movie from the 80s and that is why it is one this list of the best movies from the 1980s.

Skywalker

When we think about the best movies from the 1980s we can totally agree that there really are so many possibilities in terms of which movies that we could choose from this time period and I think that all of us kind of just know that there are a bunch of cool things going on in general about the best movies from the 1980s and we are totally going to be doing a bunch of fun things with this list of the best movies from the 1980s. Of course the 1980s were just a really funny time period just in general and we know that there are a bunch of great things going on in a lot of these movies that really does personify this time period and that goes for all movies of all time periods and just to look back at the 80s we can definitely see that there are so many funny things going on in terms of the best movies from the 1980s that may not meet the eye at first, but of course when we think of the best movies from the 1980s there are a bunch of great ones so let’s continue our conversation about the best movies from the 1980s.

So the next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is Star Wars the Return of the Jedi, and I think it is definitely really clear that this movie is one of the best movies from the 1980s because it is the final movie in the epic original Star Wars trilogy in which everything comes together and we know all about the Skywalker family and how father and son are dueling it out on light sabers and stuff like that, and so we definitely can tell that this is the type of movie that is just super classic and that everyone remembers for a reason, and that is why it is one of the best movies from the 1980s. Also I think that it is pretty safe to say that Star Wars is the most successful franchise film in the entire history of Hollywood, and this was a conclusion film and it kind of was the epic conclusion for awhile until this past year’s re-emergence of the franchise but of course we can totally tell that Return of the Jedi is one of the best episodes in this franchise and that is exactly why it is considered to be one of the best movies from the 1980s.

So the next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is The Terminator and we all know that this was the movie that was the big break in Hollywood for director James Cameron and it stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the head terminator role and of course this story line was just really cool and futuristic and was something that everyone really bought and went along with and thought was super cool. The original movie came out in 1984 and when you see all of the explosions and special effects that went into this movie you would think that it was a more modern day film but it was made back in the 1980s and that is one of the reasons why it is one of the best movies from the 1980s.

E.T.

We can all totally tell that when it comes to doing something like talking about the best movies from the 1980s that there are so many options that we can choose from, and trust us we had a bunch of trouble just picking and choosing the best of the best movies from the 1980s. It is totally true that the 1980s was one of the goofiest decades in American history and we can totally see that through the best movies from the 1980s that came out during this time period, and it would be interesting to see how these movies really did influence society during this time period, but of course it is always a little bit of a two way street when we think about culture and films and the influences on both. But when we think about the best movies from the 1980s there really are so many super epic movies that we can talk about so let’s continue to talk more about the best movies from the 1980s. Of course first of all we just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being on this page with us and reading what we have to say about the best movies from the 1980s because we know that you could literally go anywhere else online to read about the best movies from the 1980s but by choosing us as your reading option we really do appreciate that and we know that we are not going to be disappointing.

So the next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and we all know that this is one of the best kids movies that ever came out in the history of cinema, and it is also one of the best Stephen Spielberg movies that has ever come out during his very successful career. Of course we all know that Spielberg is one of the best directors of all time and pretty much runs Hollywood from the palm of his little Jewish hands, is dad grew up as a eagle id roofing contractor and so he had it hard growing up working manual labor, but he had to get started out somehow just like all of us and one of his first really big breaks was with E.T. and of course this movie was very different than any other alien movie that had come out before it. Because E.T. was about a friendly alien that becomes friends with a human boy it all of a sudden was super original and was just something that was super cool and definitely made it one of the best movies from the 1980s.

The next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is Ghostbusters, and Ghostbusters is definitely one of the best action comedies that ever came out in Hollywood history and we should definitely consider it to be one of the best movies from the 1980s because it was super epic and had great special effects and animation, while at the same time was a comedy about ghosts, which was of course super unique.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

When we think back in the time periods like the 1980s we can totally see that there are so many people out there who are just trying to get their heads in the door of the move industry and a lot of them especially the actors were willing to do just about anything to get famous. It’s not like this has dissipated at all in the present and we can even see that people are doing super crazy things today just to get on camera and be famous in some way or another, and that is just really epic because we know that when it comes down to it the people who are getting involved with this list of the best movies from the 1980s really know what they are talking about and can help distinguish the best from the rest of the best. Of course when you are going about doing something like making a list of the best movies from the 1980s there is of course going to be a lot of choices so we have been as objective as we possibly can in our decisions in terms of making this list, so let’s continue to talk more about the best movies from the 1980s.

So the next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is a movie called the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and I think we all know that this movie is one of the best Indiana Jones movies that ever came out starring Harrison Ford. Of course Ford was known for his other major Hollywood role as Han Solo but his role as Indiana Jones is probably his most memorable and we can just totally tell that he is the type of guy who killed it in this movie as Indiana Jones, and this movie was so action packed that it seemed like at any moment there was going to be some kind of epic conclusion to the storyline or something like that, but of course this screenplay was just action packed on just about every page and that is why this movie ended up becoming such a smashing success and one of the best movies from the 1980s. There is no doubt about it that Harrison Ford was part of two of the most successful franchises in the film industry’s history with Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and when you get involved with projects like this you can be sure to be come timeless really quickly.

So the next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is one of my personal favorites from this time period and it really does personify the entire decade in such a funny and great way, and we are talking about Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I think that every American kid needs to watch this movie before they graduate from high school and it is just so funny when you are in high school and you can see how realistic and goofy high school really is through a movie like this, and of course there are so many moments that are memorable from this movie that will never be matched again, but we will definitely see that there are so many awesome movies in this decade but Ferris Bueller is definitely the face of the best movies from the 1980s.

Stanley Kubrick And The Steady Cam

We all know that in the film industry’s illustrious history that the 1980s was kind of a lapse in creative ability in which everyone just started making feel good movies that weren’t that combative and counter culture and were just much more confirmative to what people were doing back then in the 1980s, which was pretty much just getting drunk and dancing at disco bars or something like that, who really knows what was going on in people’s heads back in the 1980s. But if we look back at some of the best movies from the 1980s we can totally see what was happening in the culture of America during this time period and it was pretty funny and just a goofy time and the best movies from the 1980s definitely portray that in great ways. So yes what we are going to be doing throughout this entire list of articles and blogs is just talk more about the best movies from the 1980s and that means that if you are the type of person who likes classic comedies and classic movies in general then you are definitely going to really like the movies that we are going to be talking about so let’s continue talking more about the best movies from the 1980s.

The next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is a movie by Stanley Kubrick called The Shining which came out in 1980, and this is definitely a movie that is timeless and one of the best movies from the 1980s. This story is based off of one of the best Stephen King novels that he ever wrote and we all know that Jack Nicholson totally killed it in this movie with his role of a crazy person who goes mad in a hotel all by himself with his family and a bunch of bad vibes and ghosts and things like that. Of course when we think about this movie in terms of the filmmaking part of it we can totally see throughout the film that the steadicam was used throughout the entire film and a steadicam was definitely really high technology for the film industry back then and Stanley Kubrick was naturally one of the first directors to really toy around with one of them, and he did a great job with seamless shots that look amazing, and of course build onto the drama of this story. I think that because this movie was just so freaky and scary and Jack Nicholson and Stanley Kubrick teamed up to do a really legendary Stephen King story that it just makes sense that this movie went on to become a huge success and is now considered to be one of the best movies from the 1980s. So it just makes sense that we had to mention the Shining in our list of the best movies from the 1980s because it is one of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about and one of the only really scary movies from this time period as well.

Best Of The 80s

Best movies from the 1980s

There is no doubt about it that the best movies that have ever come out of Hollywood or the movie industry just in general came out a long time ago, and of course some of the movies that come out in recent years have been really amazing and innovative in terms of CGI and other forms of special effects and things like that, but when it comes to classic storytelling through films I think that for the most part the best movies ever were from a long time ago. There is just no doubt about it that when we look into the past and even go back as far as fifty years ago that movies were just very different and relied a lot more heavily upon acting and good character development through the storylines, and that is something that I think a lot of people can learn from because as we continue to learn more about the best movies from the 1980s we can definitely start to learn a lot about filmmaking in general and how these movies were so good back then and are still good today. So if you are into movies and you like learning a lot about films and what you can do as a film person to get better and better then you are definitely in the right place on the internet because what we are doing throughout all of these articles and blogs is simply talking about the best movies from the 1980s and that is something that we are really excited to give out to you and we know that if you like the best movies from the 1980s then you are definitely going to enjoy this reading material very thoroughly, so let’s continue to talk more about the best movies from the 1980s.

So the next of the best movies from the 1980s that we are going to be talking about is a really classic comedy and thriller called Back to the Future that starred Michael J. Fox and was released back in 1985, and I think everyone still today remembers Back to the Future because it is definitely one of the best time machine movies ever created and it sparked all of our imaginations about time travel and of course the realistic consequences that can happen when someone changes the past. That of course is not that realistic of a storyline but it still was just a really cool story that a lot of people don’t necessarily know all that much about, but when we think about the storyline of Back to the Future we really do see one of the best screenplays put onto the screen, and of course it had blockbuster feature written all over it and with a big star like Michael J. Fox it was meant to do big things, which it most certainly did, and that is why it is one of the best movies from the 1980s. So of course we had to put Back to the Future on this list of the best movies from the 1980s because it is a classic comedy that was just so innovative and cool in so many different ways and that is why this movie made our list as the first of many of the best movies from the 1980s.
